Off-Line Tools

These tools are available on your netbook.  You do not need an Internet connection to use them.  You can find these tools on your desktop.

  • Microsoft PowerPoint- Use pictures and text to create slides
  • Microsoft Photostory- Use pictures, text, music, and/or narration to create slides.  The computer generates a "show" based on the slides you add to the program.

    Online Tools

    These tools are found on the Internet.  You have to have an Internet connection and will have to create an account to use them.

    • Prezi
      Prezi uses unique shapes and arrangements to make your presentation visually appealing.
    • Slideroll
      Slideroll allows you to use pictures and text to create slideshows and collages.
    • VoiceThread
      Voicethread allows you to upload slides to a presentation. You can then add text or voice comments to the slides. If you allow it, other people can comment on your slides as well.

    Important Note about Online Presentations

    If you plan to post your presentation online, DO NOT use your last name, your address, your email, or your phone number as any part of your username or as any part of your presentation.
